Skylo Partners With Syniverse to Implement SMS Over Satellite for Verizon
Collaboration offers satellite connectivity beyond emergency services, enabling native SMS messaging over satellite for Verizon customers.
Qualcomm Technologies has announced the launch in cooperation with NTN service provider Skylo of its 212S Modem and 9205S Modem chipsets. They are designed for off-grid industrial uses that need standalone non-terrestrial network (NTN) or hybrid connectivity alongside terrestrial networks. The chips support the Qualcomm Aware platform for IoT tracking and monitoring and provide connectivity and coverage even in very remote area
